Former Cleveland Clinic CEO joins surgical AI company

Toby Cosgrove, MD, former CEO and president of Cleveland Clinic, has joined surgical artificial intelligence company Theator as an executive advisor.

In this position, Dr. Cosgrove will help support Theator’s commercial expansion and implementation of its surgical intelligence platform, according to a Nov. 2 press release from Theator. 

Dr. Cosgrove also serves as an executive adviser for Cleveland Clinic. 

Theator’s platform standardizes surgical video data and layers footage from every operation with AI-powered analysis to provide actionable insights.
