Dr. Michael Pisano named vice president at Discovery Life Sciences

Biospecimen company Discovery Life Sciences has named Michael Pisano, PhD, as executive vice president of proteomics.

Before joining Discovery, Dr. Pisano served as vice president of business research and contract research at Cayman Chemical. In his new position, Dr. Pisano will be responsible for introducing proteomic platforms into Discovery’s biomarker portfolio, according to the Aug. 23 Discovery news release.

“Michael is a highly experienced and recognized leader in proteomics, and we are excited to have him on the Discovery team to bolster our biomarker discovery capabilities,” Discovery COO Jay Scherer said. 

Discovery Life Sciences provides biospecimen inventory and procurement networks and multi-omic biomarker laboratory services to precision medicine programs creating targeted treatments for cancer, infectious diseases and other conditions.
