College of Medicine’s Dr. Darrel Saldanha Wins Award at Midwest Anesthesia Residents Conference

Darrel Saldanha, MD, won first place in the airway category at the Midwest Anesthesia Residents Conference, according to a University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago news release.

Dr. Saldanha, a CA-1 resident at the College of Medicine at Chicago, received the award for his presentation “Pre-operative Indirect Mirror Laryngoscopy Used as a Means of Predicting a Difficult Airway.”

This year’s MARC was held at the University of Iowa, where it started 50 years ago, and included approximately 450 presentations.
