The code-a-thon, which the ONC is hosting in collaboration with the Chamber of Digital Commerce, will take place in Washington, D.C., from 8 a.m. on March 14 to 12:30 p.m. on March 15.

Contestants will use healthcare standards and open source distributed ledger technology to deal with one of the following three topics:

  • Identity management and application program interfaces
  • Metadata tagging and policy expression
  • Data aggregation and linkage

Contestants will work in teams of two to five individuals. First place, second place, third place and honorable mention teams will be awarded different amounts of money. Certain winners might be invited to present their project during an ONC webinar.

The registration deadline is March 7. Click here for more information.
