HHS announces $60M in grants to help consumers use online marketplace

HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell has awarded $60 million in grants to 90 organizations to help Americans understand their healthcare coverage options in both state and federal online marketplaces.

These navigators can assist consumers in comparing options, determining if they are eligible for public programs and helping them access and use their new coverage.

“In-person assisters have an impact on the lives of so many Americans, helping individuals and families across the country access quality, affordable health coverage,” said Sec. Burwell.  “We are committed to helping Americans get covered and stay covered with in-person assistance in their own communities.”
