Healthcare Apps for Consumers, Physicians Booming; Experts Urge Caution

The field of mobile applications, including those targeted towards hospitals and physicians, is growing so quickly that regulatory bodies cannot keep up and it is becoming difficult to separate the reliable and accurate apps from the others, healthcare experts said.

Other concerns and questions regarding liability still remain as well. If a patient or healthcare provider uses a faulty app, it is difficult to say whether the blame lies with Apple or the software developer.
