Health IT tip of the day: Minimize stakeholder fatigue during implementation

Solution implementations are often made or broken by the level of collaboration between IT resources and all functional stakeholders.

Paige Popp, director of Experian Health in Costa Mesa, Calif.: When implementing patient access solutions, such as orders and scheduling products, stakeholder fatigue can be minimized through project leadership by ensuring continuous engagement and frequent communication throughout the course of the project. It is particularly important to keep in mind that while timelines are an obvious necessity for effective project management, unavoidable adjustments to dates must be collaboratively agreed upon, clearly documented and shared with key stakeholders.
