Good Samaritan reported a $3.3 million operating income for the month, compared to its $2.7 million loss in August 2015. The hospital also reported a $300,000 loss in investments in August 2016.
The month’s report follows the hospital’s recent implementation of Epic’s $17 million EHR system. The new EHR system reportedly improves the hospital’s partnership with Evansville, Ind.-based DeaconessHospital, according to hospital officials. The two institutions are now able to share patient information with each other.
