GE Healthcare CEO steps down

GE Healthcare President and CEO John Dineen has resigned after seven years leading the division.

"John successfully led GE Healthcare during a period of growth, portfolio diversification and market volatility," said GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt. "Thanks to his leadership, the business today is a global leader with a strong brand and great technology."

Mr. Dineen stepped down to explore other leadership opportunities outside of GE, according to a company statement.

John Flannery, who was most recently senior vice president of business development for GE, has been named the new head of GE Healthcare, effective immediately.
