The most money went toward mobile health companies — $401 million over 45 deals. Mobile health was followed in total deal volume by wearables manufacturers ($226 million over 17 deals) and practice management solutions vendors ($220 million in eight deals).
NantHealth, makers of a cloud-based clinical platform, brought in the most money, raising $135 million.
Since 2007, the health IT sector has raised more than $7 billion in VC funding, according to the report.
