The innovation hub will work to identify unmet healthcare needs and create solutions that reduce costs and improve outcomes. The Sharecare platform will power the hub, accelerating the development of evidence-based digital health solutions.
The partnership also makes Emory Healthcare a lead research partner in the Sharecare Movement, which aims to make Atlanta and Georgia as a whole among the healthiest places to live in the country.
“Emory Healthcare is excited to bring together the health-related assets of the Emory community to partner with Sharecare, innovation experts and other strategic partners to accelerate the development and adoption of healthcare technology solutions,” said Jonathan S. Lewin, MD, president, CEO and board chair of Emory Healthcare.
Emory also partnered with Innovation Hub Enterprises, a full-service research, design and innovation strategy firm, to oversee the innovation hub as well as raise a venture fund for investing in early-stage healthcare technologies and care models.
