The COVID-19 pandemic will likely push healthcare organizations to fully leverage capabilities surrounding data analytics and help them draw sharper insights into population health, according to Brent Shafer, CEO of Cerner. 

CNBC's Bertha Coombs interviewed Epic CEO Judy Faulkner during a virtual healthcare event on May 12 and asked about how the company has contributed to the COVID-19 response efforts and what to expect from the EHR giant in the future.

Epic has remained busy during the pandemic, partnering with health systems and other industry members to support relief efforts.
