Health Care Service Corp., the Chicago-based parent of five Blue Cross and Blue Shield health plans, tapped Epic to launch a new health information exchange platform between insurers, providers and patients.

Cleveland-based MetroHealth integrated Unite Us' electronic resource referral platform within its EHR to better track and coordinate resources for patients' social determinants of health needs, according to a June 12 news release. 

Northern Ireland on June 10 signed a 10-year contract with Epic to design and implement an EHR system as part of the country's $374 million digital health records investment.
