Cerner's leadership team has undergone several changes this year, with four executive departures reported in July. 

Below are five organizations that announced plans to implement a new EHR or deployed a new system in the last 30 days:

Signify Health, a healthcare technology company that provides in-home care and management services, welcomed former Cerner executive Sam Pettijohn as its new chief growth officer, the company said July 19. 

The Department of Veterans Affairs' $16 billion plan to modernize its EHR with Cerner has had a bumpy ride. Recent reports have showcased what went wrong as lawmakers express concern over the rising costs. 

With the rapid acceleration of digital health during the pandemic, hospitals and health systems are increasingly getting involved in health tech licensing and commercialization of innovative platforms and devices. 

Baystate Health is expanding its 20-year relationship with Cerner through the launch of a digital platform that will integrate the Springfield, Mass.-based health system's clinical care delivery and financing systems, the organizations said July 15.

Four of the top vendors hospitals use to participate in the Medicare EHR Incentive program are Allscripts, Cerner, Epic and Meditech, according to ONC data.
