Epic and Oracle Cerner have been busy.

A federal watchdog found that senior staff at the Department of Veterans Affairs gave inaccurate information to investigators probing possible misconduct involving the department's Oracle Cerner EHR modernization project. 

Canvas Health, an electronic health records startup, has received $24 million in funding, TechCrunch reported July 14.

The Department of Health and Human Services' Office for Civil Rights issued financial penalties to 11 HIPAA-covered entities that have failed to provide patients with timely access to their medical records.

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic's EHR training program increased user confidence and proficiency in the EHR, according to a July 7 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association. 

Jackson, Miss.-based St. Dominic Hospital will implement its Epic EHR system at McComb, Miss.-based Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical. 

Epic's revenue has grown double-digits every year for the last decade, including 13 percent in 2021, according to CB Insights and Forbes.
