Orlando (Fla.) Health is expanding its Epic EHR to seven recently acquired hospitals.
The 24-hospital system recently launched Epic at Orlando Health Sebastian (Fla.) River Hospital and Orlando Health Melbourne (Fla.) Hospital and plans to go live with the EHR at Tampa-based Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health later in September and Birmingham, Ala.-based Baptist Health, a five-hospital system, in summer 2026, according to a Sept. 12 news release.
Orlando Health switched to Epic systemwide in 2021 and has been moving its newly acquired hospitals to the EHR since then.
The health system also noted that it earned top honors in Epic’s Gold Stars program for configuration and utilization, placing it among the top 10% of Epic users worldwide.
“This is an extraordinary achievement for Orlando Health amid the organization’s rapid growth since 2020,” Orlando Health Chief Digital Information Officer Novlet Mattis stated in the release. “These honors recognize the innovation and dedication of our team members and clinicians to fully leverage technologies to enhance patient safety, quality and the overall care experience for the communities we serve.”
