Lehigh Valley Health Network to share EHR data with CVS

To identify patients with various health challenges and provide those patients with care, Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network signed a five-year agreement with CVS Health on May 1, according to Lehigh Valley Business.

Lehigh Valley Health Network will share its EHR with CVS to help connect the dots between patients, pharmacies, physicians and health networks, health system Chief Transformation Officer Debbie Salas-Lopez, MD, said.

By sharing its EHR with CVS, Lehigh Valley Health Network hopes to reduce unnecessary hospital visits and lower overall health costs.

CVS and Lehigh Valley Health Network have been working together since 2015.
