Cleveland Clinic has found success tailoring its EHR training to specific roles and departments.
The health system’s technique includes self-paced e-learning modules, video tutorials, tip sheets and monthly “tune-up” sessions.
“Our training programs are designed to meet providers where they are by offering training that is accessible, time-efficient and clearly shows value to their daily work,” said Jean Vickers, MD, associate chief health information officer of Cleveland Clinic, in a July 30 blog post.
The health system also constantly solicits EHR feedback from providers and employs Epic Signal analytics to spot underused features and areas for improvement.
