Akiri, formerly known as Health2047 SwitchCo, was established with a $10 million Series A investment. Akiri’s vendor-agnostic solution will use software-defined network and secure routing protocol technology. It will also use blockchain technology to help facilitate the transmission of health data in real time. Celgene is the company’s first collaborator.
Health2047, a Silicon Valley-based enterprise, is focused on the areas of data liquidity, chronic care, productivity and payments. The American Medical Association is a founding investor in Health2047.
