Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare is investing $51 million in a modernized, integrated EHR system following its acquisition of Warner Robins, Ga.-based Houston Healthcare.

“By installing Epic, a leading EHR system, clinicians will be able to provide more coordinated care between all Emory facilities, while enhancing both the patient and employee experience,” the health system said in a June 4 news release.

Houston Healthcare officially joined Emory on June 1. The two organizations signed a letter of intent in August 2024 and finalized their definitive agreement in February.

In addition to implementing the Epic EHR, Emory rebranded the Houston facilities. Houston Healthcare-Warner Robins is now Emory Hospital Warner Robins, and Houston Healthcare-Perry is now Emory Hospital Perry.
