2 Hawaii hospitals to go live with Epic

Kealakekua, Hawaii-based Kona Community Hospital and Kapaau, Hawaii-based Kohala Hospital are slated to go live with an Epic EHR system June 1, KWXX reported May 3.

The two hospitals will use the EpicCare Link Community and will soft-live the new EHR system on May 20. 

Through a partnership with Honolulu-based the Queen’s Health System, one of the largest private healthcare systems on the island, both hospitals will receive access to the EHR system. 

Staff have been training for the go-live since April.
