In his role, Patrick Murta will contribute his experience and vision to BehaVR’s proprietary technology platform that aims to educate and motivate patients to make improvements to their mental health, according to the Feb. 23 news release.
Mr. Murta previously served as solutions architect fellow at Humana, his most recent position after a 23-year stint at the payer. He also served as co-chief architect for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT’s FHIR at Scale Taskforce and has two patents.
“We’re in an incredibly exciting time as an industry where there’s substantial research to support the viability of using VR experiences to address the most pressing mental and behavioral health challenges, even beyond what it’s currently used for today,” Mr. Murta said.
