Withings’ devices will connect to Medable’s clinical trial platform and capture and collect important patient data from heart rate to sleep patterns, according to the July 21 press release. The design is non-invasive and user friendly in an attempt to ease use for patients and encourage retention of their engagement in the trial, which is a major issue in the industry.

“As the industry leader in plug-and-play connected sensor devices, Withings is the ideal partner for Medable as we continue driving for population representation in clinical trials,” said Michelle Longmire, MD, co-founder and CEO of Medable. “Their devices are a critical part of a successful decentralized clinical trial and we look forward to a long, successful partnership with Withings.”
