Sibel Health is a spinoff company of the John Rogers Research Group and the Querrey Simpson Institute for Bioelectronics at Evanston, Ill.-based Northwestern University. Sibel Health plans to use this new funding to scale up its Anne One wearable remote vital monitoring platform, according to the Aug. 4 Sibel Health news release.
The Steele Foundation for Hope led the fundraising round. This financing brings Sibel Health’s total money raised to $50 million.
“What makes us unique as a digital health company is that our product is vertically integrated — we believe that everything matters, from the adhesive we place on the skin to how the sensor fits on the body to the final alert a clinician sees for medical decision making,” said Steve Xu, MD, CEO and co-founder of Sibel Health. “We’re proud that our technology can be potentially deployed in both the neonatal intensive care unit and in the home for remote patient monitoring.”
