Springfield, Ill.-based Springfield Memorial Hospital has teamed up with CareView Communications to implement a virtual monitoring platform aimed at enhancing patient safety and staff efficiency.
Under the agreement, the hospital will deploy CareView’s Virtual Sitting system, which enables continuous observation of patients to help prevent falls, reduce adverse events and streamline workflows, according to a Dec. 3 news release from CareView.
The technology provides clinical staff with real-time visibility into patient rooms, allowing faster intervention while freeing up resources for higher-acuity care. CareView will support the rollout with training, oversight and 24/7 technical assistance.
Leaders at Springfield Memorial said the partnership aligns with their long-term strategy to integrate intelligent systems that improve care quality and bolster staff support, the release said.
