Idaho Replacement Hospital Set to Open

North Canyon Medical Center’s $17 million replacement hospital in Gooding, Idaho, will be opening on time and under budget, according to a report in the Times-News.

The hospital will begin seeing new patients on March 2, after employees spend time conducting trial runs of the new facility, according to the report.

Improvements to the hospital include private patient rooms, a digital health record system, an expanded emergency room and upgraded imaging equipment. The new facility also includes a surgery center with two operating rooms.

The project came in $1 million under budget, and $11 million was spent on upgrades to the hospital’s equipment, according to the report.
