Edmund Jackson, PhD, former chief data officer and chief data scientist at HCA, leads the company as its CEO. His co-founders include Jason Parker, former director of data science at HCA, and Cody Hall, who was a data scientist with the Nashville, Tenn.-based system.

The trio founded UnityAI to transform patient flow optimization. The company’s technology aims to optimize operations using artificial intelligence and large language models to communicate content into the hospital workflows. The company’s technology is focused on hospital bed management, resource allocation and improving quality care.

New York City-based Max Ventures led the funding round with Whistler Capital Partners as the pre-seed investor.

“We are thrilled to have the support of our investors as we embark on this mission to revolutionize hospital flow,” said Dr. Jackson. “We believe that high-quality care and highly efficient care are actually the same thing. Our unique approach will empower hospitals to dissolve complexity to operate more smoothly, efficiently, and ultimately provide better care to patients. This funding will accelerate our efforts to make a significant impact on the healthcare system.”
