5 hospitals, health systems seeking IT chiefs

Hospitals and health systems are recruiting chief-level leaders to oversee technology infrastructure, cybersecurity and clinical informatics.

Here are five organizations with searches listed on job-seeker and executive recruitment websites reviewed Oct. 2:

  1. Meadville (Pa.) Medical Center has a public posting for a chief information officer. The executive will oversee enterprise information systems supporting clinical and business operations, along with IT planning, vendor relationships, budgets and system security.

  2. Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine is seeking a chief technology officer. Reporting to the chief digital and information officer, the executive will oversee enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, network operations, automation, digital workplace services and disaster recovery.

  3. Madison, Wis.-based UW Health is seeking a vice president and chief technology officer. The executive will report to the system vice president and chief information and digital officer and lead a team of 200. Priorities include cloud modernization, infrastructure integration, AI platform enablement and technology resilience.

  4. Carbondale-based Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a chief information security officer. Reporting to the chief innovation officer, the executive will lead enterprise cybersecurity, information security, risk and resilience strategy, including incident response and third-party risk management.

  5. Seattle-based UW Medicine is seeking a chief health informatics officer. The practicing physician will lead clinical informatics, including Epic optimization and responsible adoption of AI and advanced analytics. The position reports to the CIO, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the enterprise chief medical officer.
