The company’s website says Melody is “designed to make insurance friendly and simple,” based on the personal needs of individual customers without the hassle. However, the website and news release regarding the funding round are thin on specifics about what sets Melody apart and the strategies the company will use to offer an improved insurance process for customers.

Melody is currently completing the licensing process for the states it plans to offer services in next year. The capital raised in this round, led by the CEO of ARS Humano, the largest health insurance company in Central America, will be used to expand Melody’s team, according to a news release.
