For the survey, the organizations asked 627 healthcare executives how their organizations are addressing challenges with cybersecurity.
Here are the top five items healthcare executives indicated threat actors targeted from their organizations.
1. Patient medical records: 77 percent
2. Patient billing information: 56 percent
3. Log-in credentials: 54 percent
4. Passwords and other authentication credentials to systems, servers or applications: 49 percent
5. Clinical trial and other research information: 45 percent
