Signature Healthcare Brockton (Mass.) Hospital has lifted its “code black” status following a cybersecurity incident that began April 6.
As of 8 a.m. April 15, the hospital’s emergency department was again receiving ambulances after continuing to serve walk-in patients during the disruption, according to an April 15 health system news release shared with Becker’s.
The update reflects ongoing system recovery and restoration efforts. Some systems and processes remain offline and are expected to be restored over the coming days.
A team of outside experts is continuing forensic work on the incident as the hospital follows a phased approach to ensure stability and security, the release said.
The incident disrupted portions of Signature Healthcare’s information systems, including temporarily pausing some services and diverting ambulances.
