The survey involved 311 cybersecurity professionals and was conducted by application security company Promon, according to the report.
Four takeaways:
- Fifty-one percent of cybersecurity professionals reported working more than four hours per week over their contracted hours.
- More than 50 percent said their workload was the biggest source of stress.
- Eighty-eight percent said a “blame culture” exists in the cybersecurity industry.
- Only 7 percent of professionals attributed their stress to lack of pay.
