The lab is intended to be run like a startup to quickly develop, test and implement digital innovations. Focus areas of the lab include innovation in mobile health, personalized experiences and digital therapeutics. Additionally, CVS Health plans to partner with startups and companies in the digital and healthcare spaces to advance its goals.
“Digital technologies are ubiquitous and highly configurable — a powerful combination, because it allows us to empower our customers anytime and anywhere,” s aid Brian Tilzer, senior vice president and chief digital officer for CVS Health, in a statement. “That’s why we are doubling our digital investment [and] anticipating our customers’ increasing preference to manage their health digitally. The opening of this Innovation Lab is a significant step forward on this path.”
