In accordance with its Business Intelligence and Health IT Strategic Plan, the department will use Spotlight to improve its understanding of the care quality and needs of Medicaid members in the state and better manage transitions of care.
The Spotlight platform uses machine learning-powered predictive models to analyze health data to identify risk factors and population needs. That information can then be used to distribute resources more effectively and launch programs that will provide the most benefit to the population.
