CIO Patrick O’Hare: Leading HIE efforts in Michigan

As senior vice president and CIO of Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health, Patrick O’Hare oversees the information and technology management of a $4.2 billion, 19,000 employee health system.

Mr. O’Hare helped found Michigan Health Connect, a health information exchange in Michigan that recently merged with Great Lakes Health Information Exchange. Mr. O’Hare serves as chairman of the Michigan Health Connect board of directors.

He also is a member of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association Health Information Strategy Committee, Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services, HIMSS, CHIME and the Cerner Strategic Chief Information Officer Council.
