Canada’s Nanaimo Regional General Hospital implements Cerner EHR

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital in British Columbia, Canada, signed an agreement in 2013 to transition to Cerner’s EHR, according to a CBCNews report.

The hospital is now live on the EHR through the IHealth initiative, a partnership between Cerner and Nanaimo Regional’s parent system Island Health, to create a regional, cross-continuum EHR for all of Island Health’s locations.

Trainers will remain at Nanaimo Regional for up to eight weeks to help staff members learn to use the new EHR, according to the CBCNews report.
