Through the new three-year agreement, Brigham and Women’s will test and potentially integrate solutions coming out of Rock Health’s startups into the hospital, the idea being to validate the innovations Rock Health funds, Lesley Solomon, executive director of the Brigham Innovation Hub, told Boston Business Journal.
“We will have the opportunity to collaborate with thought leaders in the digital space developing technology that [has] the potential to dramatically transform healthcare delivery,” Ms. Solomon said in the report.
While the partnership offers the resources of a well-known hospital to Rock Health’s digital startups, it also offers Brigham and Women’s access to ideas and startups coming out of California.
“[The partnership] doesn’t limit us from partnering with others, but for us we’ll have the opportunity to talk to the best, work with the best,” Ms. Solomon said. “They are based in San Francisco, where we don’t have a presence, so it helps us get access to startups we might not know about here.”
