Blockchain transactions on apps drops 40% in Q3: 3 notes

The number of transactions completed on blockchain-based applications dropped 40 percent in the last quarter, according to TNW.

Here are three things to know:

1. During the third quarter, blockchain transactions on apps totaled $2.03 billion.

2. Only 148 blockchain apps were launched throughout the quarter. This compares to the first half of 2019 when 164 blockchain apps were launched on a monthly basis, according to the report.

3. Of the transactions, around 88 percent were processed on the Ethereum blockchain.
