Biden administration seeks input for national AI strategy

The Biden administration has launched three new national AI strategies aimed at regulating artificial intelligence tools.

On May 23, the White House announced three new initiatives for standardizing, regulating, investing in, and improving trust and safety practices for artificial intelligence and is seeking public comment on them, according to a press release from the White House.

The initiatives are:

  • A road map that will focus on federal investments in AI research and development
  • A public comment request on AI issues
  • A report from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology on the risks and opportunities for AI
