BCBS Association partners with Garmin to provide discounted digital health tracking

Garmin Health and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association announced a partnership on May 29 that will provide Garmin wearable devices and health tracking metrics at a discount to BCBS members nationwide.

The collaboration will allow the more than 60 million members of 24 participating BCBS companies and the Federal Employee Program to purchase discounted Garmin wearables through BCBS' Blue365 program. Blue365 provides eligible members with savings on health and wellness products such as gym memberships, nutritious snacks and vision and dental products.

"Our goal is to encourage Americans to take a proactive role in maintaining and improving their health," Mark Talluto, vice president of strategy and analytics at BCBS, said in a statement. "By adding Garmin's wearables to Blue365's health and wellness offerings, we can provide Blue Cross and Blue Shield members another way to help achieve their goals through a deeper understanding of their health and fitness information."
