In November, the Kentucky Hospital Association announced a partnership with I-PASS. Baptist Health’s deployment of the system will serve as an initial demonstration of the system, according to a Dec. 19 Baptist Health news release. Through the program, Baptist Health will adopt the I-PASS suite of digital health tools, which includes a handoff tool integrated within the EHR designed to reduce workflow redundancies.

“This important initiative will give our staff a tool they’ve been yearning for — one that augments the way they’re already coordinating patient care,” Trish Jordan, Baptist Health’s system associate vice president of clinical outcomes, said in the news release. By leveraging a shared mental model for clinical handoff communication, our care teams can maximize the impact that those efforts ultimately make on their patients.”
