Anthem hack cost likely to exceed cyber liability coverage

The cost of the cyberattack on Indianapolis-based Anthem could exceed $100 million. Although Anthem has cyber insurance, the payer’s policy only covers losses of up to $100 million, according to a ZDNet report, a CBS-affiliate site.

Anthem’s cyber insurance policy could be exhausted as the costs to notify affected customers build up, according to the report, referencing The Insurance Insider.
