Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health entered into a systemwide agreement with Artisight to deploy its smart hospital platform, with an initial focus on virtual nursing.
The platform incorporates artificial intelligence, computer vision and ambient technology to enable real-time observation, enhance patient care and automate documentation to reduce clinical workload, according to a Sept. 23 news release.
Artisight said its technology has demonstrated operational benefits at other academic health systems. One deployment showed a fourfold increase in on-time discharges and saved 25 minutes per patient for bedside nurses by shifting admission and discharge tasks to virtual nurses.
