Microsoft has launched Copilot Health, an AI-powered tool designed to help users interpret their personal health data and prepare for conversations with clinicians.
Copilot Health is a secure space within Microsoft’s Copilot platform that aggregates health records, wearable device data and personal health history to generate personalized insights, according to a March 12 news release from Microsoft.
The platform can pull data from more than 50 wearable devices, including Apple Health, Oura and Fitbit, and integrate health records from more than 50,000 U.S. hospitals and provider organizations through HealthEx. It can also incorporate lab test results from Function.
The tool uses AI to analyze patterns in a person’s health data and surface insights intended to help users better understand trends and prepare questions for medical appointments, the company said.
Copilot Health also connects to real-time U.S. provider directories, allowing users to search for clinicians by specialty, location, languages spoken and insurance coverage.
Microsoft said the product is launching through a phased rollout, with a waitlist opening for early users. Initially, Copilot Health will be available in English in the U.S. for adults ages 18 and older.
The company said health data within Copilot Health is stored separately from general Copilot conversations and protected with additional privacy controls. User health data will not be used to train the company’s AI models, according to the news release.
Copilot Health is not intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, the company said.
