GE HealthCare is partnering with two health systems to codevelop an AI solution for its hospital operations software.
The health tech company is working with Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System and Honolulu-based Queen’s Health Systems to incorporate their feedback into building a predictive analytics tool that recommends actions.
“We want to help health systems globally deliver better outcomes for patients,” said Kristie Barazsu, president and COO of Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, N.C., and vice president of patient flow and transfer center at Duke University Health System, in an Oct. 20 news release. “That’s why we’re contributing our expertise to shape the ways in which AI is used in healthcare.”
The new AI solution will merge insights from nearly 500 hospitals and healthcare facilities, spanning 55,000 beds worldwide, to help make decisions on bed demand, equipment and staffing.
