Little Rock-based Arkansas Children’s has adopted a platform from digital health company Caregility that will enable virtual care in its neonatal intensive care unit.

The two organizations developed the connected device collaboratively to support specialist consultations, teleresuscitation and telesimulation efforts. Caregility’s NICU cart facilitates multiple audio and video streams, as well as ambient AI, simultaneously.

“Caring for premature and critically ill infants requires timely assessment and intervention,” said Matthew Merves, MD, neonatologist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, in a June 24 news release. “We’re excited to partner with Caregility on a solution that brings enhanced visibility to our most vulnerable patients while supporting collaboration among clinicians and specialists at the bedside and beyond.”
