CHIME partnered with LexisNexis Risk Solutions to collect responses from the healthcare executives, who detailed their top priorities for 2019 based on the current phase of their organization’s EHR implementation.

Here’s how participants from organizations in the following EHR phases responded:

1. Early phase adoption and upgrades:

· Cybersecurity
· Interoperability

2. Established data input and exchange infrastructure:

· Data governance
· Patient and provider directories

3. Mature EHR:

· Data analytics
· Patient engagement

The focus group showed organizations are motivated by the desire to do what’s right for the patient rather than just complying with regulation, Josh Schoeller, LexisNexis Risk Solutions senior vice president, said in a news release.
