5 new mHealth apps

The following mHealth apps were recently launched and reported in the past two weeks.

1. ChartSpan launched an app allowing patients to convert paper healthcare records into EHRs. Users can request, organize and send records using their smartphones. Users take a picture of the healthcare record, or importing it from an email or electronic fax, and ChartSpan extracts data and creates an electronic version of the information.

2. Arches Health Plan joined forces with Symptomly to create an app to help asthmatic patients track and manage their symptoms.

3. Willowglade Technologies announced its “My Breast Cancer Journey” app, which helps cancer patients manage their disease and share progress updates with friends and family.

4. Healthvana is a new app that allows providers to send HIV and STD test results to patients through their mobile devices.

5. Under Armour has upgraded its app for the latest iOS update. The new app offers 24/7 activity tracking and improved connectivity with external , third-party devices.
