Owosso, Mich.-based Memorial Healthcare and Brookhaven, Miss.-based King’s Daughters Medical Center have engaged Iatric Systems, a health IT integration company, to assist with the EHR-neutral integration.
By integrating with Apple Health, the hospitals will be able to aggregate and present patient data from several sources, including inpatient, ambulatory and patient-provided sources.
“We envision our patients using Apple Health easily because for many, the iPhone is already a main part of their lives,” said Frank Fear, vice president of ancillary services and CIO of Memorial Healthcare. “We needed to make the self-empowerment tool easy for our patients to access.”
