The grant will help advance research at Washington University School of Medicine’s Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences, which works to expedite the adoption of research findings in disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
“Academic medical centers are uniquely positioned to coordinate all the complex machinery linking basic research at the lab bench to doctors eventually being able to prescribe resulting therapies to their patients,” said David Perlmutter, MD, executive vice chancellor for medical affairs and dean of Washington University School of Medicine.
The grant was from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, one of the NIH.
